I started teaching in Stanton County in 2003 In Big Bow, Kansas as a third/fourth grade teacher. I then moved to Johnson where I became a fourth grade self contained teacher until 2012. For the last two years I have been in a departmentalized building teaching 5-6 science.
I started teaching at Big Bow Elementary in 2003 and taught in a combined 3rd/4th grade classroom. In 2004 Big Bow was closed and I was moved to Johnson as a fourth grade teacher in a general education classroom. I taught fourth grade for ten years. In 2013, fifth and sixth grade departmentalized and I became their science guy.
I continue to live in a small town in Southwest Stanton County and am still very active on the farm/ranch. My favorite part is working with cattle and helping the babies get a good start during calving season. I enjoy traveling to the mountains and spending time at my family's cabin. I enjoy like camping and fishing, as well as exploring old farmsteads and indian ruins.

I have been teaching for thirteen years now and am so amazed in how much has changed since I started at Big Bow.
