Stanton County Students Earn Honors in International Math Competition
Two students from Stanton County High School earned top honors in the recently concluded Koala Mathematics Olympiad - Heat Round held on May 4, 2026, qualifying both students for the prestigious global finals later this summer in Macau, China.
Freshman Austin Seger received a Silver Award after scoring 20 out of 25 points in the competition. Austin competed in the Grade 9 division and was recognized for outstanding mathematical achievement.
Sophomore Seth Ehrlich earned an Honorable Mention in the Grade 10 division with a score of 14 out of 25 points.
With their performances, both students have qualified for the 2026 Koala Excellence Olympiad Global Finals, which will be held July 3–7 in Macau, China.
A total of 10 Stanton County students participated in the competition using the pen-and-paper format. Additional students receiving Certificates of Participation included:

Competition organizers and sponsors expressed appreciation to the school administration and supporters for encouraging students to participate in academic competitions and international learning opportunities.
