Greetings Stanton County. In my previous news and notes I wrote about a possible resolution being discussed by the board of education that centered around the voting and election process of USD 452 Stanton County board members. The resolution that will be discussed Monday night is to change from having six (6) districts coming from Big Bow, Manter and Stanton, plus one at large position and going to a system that has all seven (7) positions being at large. That would enable anyone in the county to run for any of the seven (7) positions. If the resolution is adopted it will still be a voting item on the ballot in the general election in November for Stanton County residents to approve for the change to occur.
